He doesn’t rap, he paints the sky blew, and with his (free) debut album, he paints this 16-track excursion on a train, looking out the window at a range of emotions and stories with U’Nique Music, Backdraft and more providing the production.
North Carolina emcee SkyBlew and world traveling producer AltAir come together for this 6-track EP titled The Marvelous Slumber, which the two say has a feel similar to that of late producer Nujabes. “DreamsDontFold,” which features a familiar drum break, might just be a favorite of mine.
The always laid back and smooth SkyBlew out of North Carolina by way of Alabama releases these brand new Shane Petty-directed visuals to “Sun To Moon, WOW.” This single produced by U’Nique Music isn’t slated to appear on SkyBlew debut album, Window Seat On That Midnight Train. While you might want that album “right now,” you could expect it over the next month or two.

2words The Top is collaborating with North Carolina-based clothing company FamCo. Clothing to present to you the “Intelligent Design” compilation mixtape with some of the dopest up and coming emcees in the game. The project will also be co-sponsored by the good folks at DJ Booth and RefinedHype.
The whole project drops April 4, with the first offering dropping at djbooth.net this Tuesday, March 20. The mixtape will feature the likes of SkyBlew, Blax, K. Sparks, RoQ’y TyRaiD, and MORE.

Dope new track from duo Blaze The Sky (SkyBlew & Azon Blaze) featuring songstress Carlitta Durand, produced by U’Nique Music. SkyBlew tells this was put recorded and released last minute after most of their Double Dragon mixtape was finished, and you should be glad they were able to sneak this on. Double Dragon, hosted by DJ Skaz Digga should be coming in the next day or two.
